We need a few details to open a learning account: your first name, last name, email, place and a password. The password is stored hashed. After you join, your place also keeps the learning record that belongs to that account — projects, reviews, events, XP and similar activity.

This information is used to create your request, let place staff approve or refuse it, run your studies, and contact you about the account. Staff at your place see it according to their access profile. Other places do not.

The record is kept for as long as the account exists. A place administrator can close the account.

An administrator still has to approve the request before you can sign in.
